Jacques Vert designs elegant head-to-toe outfits for all occasions aimed at women looking for quality, beautiful tailoring and attention to detail. Jacques Vert began in 1972 when two tailors from London, Alan Green and Jack Cynamon, started in business together making clothes. By 1977 the British pair had created a range of co-ordinated fashion for women that soon became in demand, and so the Jacques Vert brand was born.
With more contemporary designs and styles coming through the collections, Jacques Vert is the go-to shopping destination for the modern woman who wants to look stylish whilst feeling sophisticated and elegant.

Ever since the first Mackays store opened 50 years ago, we have committed to running M&Co as a family business and our expansion shows that it works. Our current chain has grown organically from a small family business of just 6 stores and now amounts to almost 300. Between 2005 and 2007, the store portfolio was expanded and upgraded, and Mackays successfully re-branded to the more contemporary M&Co fascia.
We currently employ more than 3,900 staff, with 3,500 of those based in-store and the remainder in our Inchinnan Head Office (beside Glasgow Airport), or in our London Buying Office.
Astonishingly, almost a quarter of our staff have been with us for more than 10 years, with some outstanding individuals having worked in the company for more than 30 years. M&Co is known for its family culture, which nurtures some extremely loyal customers.

The company was founded in 1940 by Mr Isaak Donner and Mr Frank Myers to make and sell men’s shirts. However, throughout the war years there was a server shortage of cotton, and only viscose rayon material was available. The company’s founders considered this fabric too delicate for men’s shirts, but suitable for ladies shirts/blouses. Also, they reasoned that while the men were fighting the war, the woman of Britain would be doing the men’s jobs in factories and on farms and would require a more masculine style of shirt/blouse. Therefore this is what they produced and sold during those years.
Double TWO now has two sub-brands, ‘Bar Harbour’, which consists of leisure shirts, polo’s, t-shirts, knitwear, shorts, trousers and Harrington jackets for the mature customer. Also ‘Old Salt’ which has a younger appeal and pays more regard to the latest fashions for customers. In addition the brands makes ties, cufflinks, pyjamas and other accessories. Now also stocked within our store is an exciting womens collection: Raspberry and also mens brand Lambretta.
